    Hi James,

The tech team will run a few tests to try and reproduce your issue, I'll get back to you if we find something.

In the meantime, if other users have some input, don't hesitate!

    Have a nice day.

Hi. I’ve successfully synchronized HM with Ableton using MIDI notes writing an extra track in Ableton.
You use internal MIDI synch IACP driver and it works perfectly.

Hi Marcel. Thank you for your advice. I will do some further tests at my end of things. I am not familiar with IACP driver. Is that something I need to install and if so where do I get that from. Thank you.

Hi again Marcel. I have done some further testing and I wonder if I have the wrong idea about what Ableton Link actually does here. When I start the Ableton track and then click to start my first sequence the  sequence does wait for Ableton to start on the first beat and then it also  starts which is all good. However the video clip in the sequence does not restart from the beginning even though I have the restart option selected in the video clip options. This only happens when the sequence starts using Ableton Link. If I restart the sequence whilst everything is running the video clip does start from the beginning. I was hoping that when the Ableton track started and the sequence came into synch with it then the video clip would also restart so that the start of the Ableton track in effect would start the whole production. Am I attempting the impossible? Thank you.

    Hi James

Well, I've tried to use Ableton Link in the Way you are. It was not very good. Issues here and there...
But I've found another way to make it work, and it's by using midi notes as triggers.
You activate IAC driver in the midi studio (programs/utilities/audio and midi).

Then, it will appear in Live as an out port:

Then you go to HeavyM and configure control settings/new device as IAC DRIVER:

Now HeavyM sees Live as if it was a simple midi controller (a keyboard for example):

Now you just write a midi track in Live with an output to IAC driver:

And when you make play, HeavyM will revive that midi note info. Use it as if it was a midi controller with midi learning mode.

Tip: I've my audio recorded in Live. In synch with metronome. When I write a midi note over the audio, it will send the message exactly at the moment I want.

    Works perfectly.

    I hope this will help.

    Enjoy.

Hi again Marcel. I have followed your instructions but have hit a problem. I activated IAC driver  but when I look in my Midi channel in Ableton, I can only see the IAC drive in the MIDI From menu and not MIDI TO menu. any ideas? I enclose screenshots of the two Midi menus in Ableton and the IAC device settings. Thank you
